L&T Semiconductor Technologies Ltd introduced the LTSCT LCC40 IoT module at MWC 2026 in Barcelona, targeting large-scale IoT deployments as 2G networks phase out. Designed for utilities and industries, it supports smart metering and offers a migration path to 4G infrastructure. The module, compliant with 3GPP Release 14 standards, features download speeds up to 10 Mbps and integrates an ARM Cortex-M3 processor. Its launch aims to bolster India's semiconductor ecosystem and address connectivity needs in various sectors.

The LTSCT LCC40 IoT module was launched by L&T Semiconductor Technologies Ltd at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, focusing on large-scale IoT deployments as 2G networks are phased out in India. The module supports smart metering in utilities and industries while offering a migration pathway to 4G with speeds of up to 10 Mbps for downloads and 5 Mbps for uploads.
Built on 3GPP Release 14 standards, it integrates an ARM Cortex-M3 processor for efficient protocol management. This domestically developed module aims to reduce import reliance and bolster India's semiconductor ecosystem, addressing the need for stable connectivity in various sectors. It is designed for predictable performance in smart metering applications and supports long-term lifecycle management.
