Swedavia's annual procurement of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) included new participants Luleå Municipality and Aviator, while SOS Alarm participated for the sixth year. The procurement supports the aviation industry's transition to reduce fossil carbon emissions, potentially by up to 80%.

For 2025, 300 tonnes of SAF were ordered, with 215 tonnes for Swedavia, produced from used cooking oil and blended with traditional jet fuel. Swedavia aims for fossil-free domestic aviation by 2030 and international traffic by 2045 and has procured SAF since 2016, inviting other organizations to participate since 2019.
