Malaysia's Higher Education Minister Calls for Essential Industry Collaboration in Tertiary Institutions
Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir emphasized the necessity for all higher education institutions in Malaysia to form strategic partnerships with industry players to align graduates with national development needs. The minister referenced Universiti Sains Malaysia as a significant development hub for the semiconductor industry, exemplifying successful industry-academic integration. Zambry made these remarks at the MTUN Academia-Industry Conference 2026, where 27 Memoranda of Understanding were exchanged between MTUN and industry partners, along with endowment contributions from industry players.
