Massport Unveils 10-Year Strategic Plan for Logan Airport and Regional Growth

SUSTAINABLE AVIATION FUEL

The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) has released a draft of its 10-year strategic plan, inviting community input by March before finalizing it this summer. The plan focuses on upgrades and growth at Logan Airport, Worcester Regional Airport, Hanscom Field, the Port of Boston, and Massport's real estate portfolio.

Key initiatives include renovating or replacing the Air Traffic Control Tower at Logan, expanding commercial services at Worcester, and pursuing sustainable aviation fuel at Hanscom. The plan aims to service 600,000 annual passengers at Flynn Cruiseport Boston by 2035 and achieve 200,000 containers at Conley Terminal by the same year.

Massport's real estate strategy targets $100 million in annual revenue by 2035 through attracting Blue Economy companies and infrastructure investments. A virtual presentation is scheduled for February 5.
