Mato Grosso to Establish First Tier 3 Data Center and Replace Connectivity Provider
Mato Grosso is set to launch its first Tier 3 data center by October and replace its connectivity provider, Oi. This move aligns with the state's digital service improvement strategy and aims to enhance public service efficiency and data governance.

Mato Grosso plans to establish its inaugural Tier 3 data center by October, alongside transitioning to a new connectivity provider to serve 142 municipalities. The existing contract with Oi will end due to non-compliance, paving the way for a new provider, with a public call already initiated.
The MTI has also implemented strategies under law 13303 to enhance public procurement flexibility. Additionally, a Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence (CEIA) has been created to regulate technology use in public management. The new data center is designed for future expansion and includes advanced technology for data processing and security, critical for meeting the increasing demands for digital services.
