MB Energy Opens Hydrogen Refuelling Station for Trucks in Lübeck
MB Energy has inaugurated a hydrogen refuelling station for heavy-duty trucks in Lübeck, capable of dispensing 2,000 kilograms of hydrogen daily and servicing up to 50 trucks. The facility, strategically located near major motorways, is part of MB Energy's multi-fuel strategy and is the second high-performance hydrogen station in Schleswig-Holstein. Funded by the German Federal Ministry for Transport, it will operate under the tankpool24 network, which encompasses over 2,000 fuelling locations across Europe.

MB Energy inaugurated a hydrogen refuelling station for heavy duty vehicles in Lübeck on January 29. Construction began after a building permit was obtained in July 2025. The station, designed by Hypion, has a capacity of 2,000 kilograms of hydrogen daily and can refuel up to 50 trucks per day.
It is strategically located near the A1 and A20 motorways, complementing an existing diesel facility. The project received funding from the German Federal Ministry for Transport under the KsNI programme.
This station is part of MB Energy's multi-fuel strategy, which includes hydrogen, biofuels, and e-fuels. The Lübeck station is the second high-performance hydrogen filling station in Schleswig-Holstein, following one in Neumünster. The facility will operate under the tankpool24 network, which includes over 2,000 fuelling locations in Europe.
