Metinvest Adria's Green Steel Project in Piombino Ranked Fifth in Investment Impact Awards 2026
The Metinvest Adria project, a joint venture between Ukrainian Metinvest B.V. and Italian Danieli & C., ranked fifth in the Investment Impact Awards 2026 for Mega-projects, highlighting its significant impact potential. The Italian government designated it a strategic national project on November 20. The €2.5-3 billion facility will produce approximately 2.7 million tons of steel annually using electric arc furnaces, creating over 1,000 jobs by 2027.
