MIPS and INOVA Collaborate on Robotics Control Reference Platform for Humanoids
MIPS and Inova Semiconductors GmbH announced a collaboration to develop a robotics control reference platform for advanced humanoids and physical AI edge platforms. The platform will leverage Inova's automotive zonal architecture expertise and GlobalFoundries' FDX technology to support mixed-criticality compute with real-time control and secure AI workloads.
It aims to reduce costs and complexity for robot builders, enhancing connectivity and performance. The platform features MIPS' RISC-V technologies and Inova's APXpress high-speed interface, designed for efficient, mission-critical robotics applications. Early access is available through MIPS Atlas Explorer for software optimization.
