POWER GRIDS & TRANSMISSION
Najran Cement Company has signed a contract valued at 48.93 million Saudi riyals ($13.04 million) with Sinoma International Engineering to develop a power grid connection project for its Sultana plant. The project, part of the liquid fuel displacement programme, aims to enhance energy efficiency and reduce emissions, with completion scheduled in 8 months.
In July, Najran Cement also contracted the National Electricity Transmission Company to build a transmission station for the plant with a 67 MVA load capacity. The displacement programme, launched in August 2024, targets a reduction of up to one million barrels of liquid fuels by 2030.
