National University of Ho Chi Minh City Sets Strategic Innovation Goals for 2026-2030
The National University of Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM) aims to enhance scientific innovation and technology development to enter the top 100 Asian universities by 2030. This initiative involves collaboration with member universities to address urban development challenges and strengthen research infrastructure.

The National University of Ho Chi Minh City is launching a strategic plan for 2026-2030 focused on scientific research and innovation. Investments include a 750 billion VND semiconductor technology laboratory and a national shared microchip lab.
The university aims to double research proposals and enhance partnerships with businesses and localities. The VNUHCM Innovation Hub will coordinate inter-university collaborations and support startups.
The goal is to create core technologies and strategic solutions for national development, addressing issues in renewable energy and hydrogen technology. A 2026-2030 cooperation agreement was signed with eight member universities to leverage collective strengths in research commercialization.
