NC Electric Membership Corporation Enhances Smart Grid with OATI's Real-Time DERMS Technology
NCEMC is collaborating with OATI to implement an advanced distributed energy resource management system (DERMS) in rural North Carolina, enhancing power grid reliability and resilience. This upgrade will enable real-time flexibility and orchestration, allowing utilities to manage the grid based on current conditions and forecasts. The partnership aims to provide innovative solutions for electric service to local communities.

NC Electric Membership Corporation (NCEMC) is advancing its smart grid technology in partnership with OATI by deploying an enhanced distributed energy resource management system (DERMS). This upgrade will enable real-time flexibility and orchestration, improving power grid reliability and resilience.
NCEMC currently collaborates with 26 distribution cooperatives in North Carolina and utilizes OATI DERMS and GridMind® microgrid controls to manage various distributed energy resources. OATI's DERMS platform is the most deployed in the industry, serving over 225 utilities globally.
