Nepal Electricity Authority Activates Tansen-Burtiwang 132kV Transmission Line to Improve Power Supply
The Nepal Electricity Authority has launched the Tansen-Burtiwang 132kV double circuit transmission line, connecting Gulmi and Baglung districts to the national grid. Regular electricity flow began after a successful two-day technical test. This project is part of a larger initiative to enhance the electricity supply system and is expected to support industrial growth and reduce youth migration.

The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has commenced operations of the Tansen-Burtiwang 132kV double circuit transmission line, crucial for connecting Gulmi and Baglung districts to the national power grid. Following a two-day technical testing, regular electricity flow started.
This line is part of the 'Burtiwang-Paundi Amrai-Tansen-Sandhikharka-Gorusinge 132kV Transmission Line Project,' which includes five substations. NEA Executive Director Hitendra Dev Shakya noted the line's role in improving electricity supply for industrial and domestic users. The project represents an investment of approximately 4.76 billion rupees.
