Nevgold CEO Highlights Milestone Achievements in Nutmeg Mountain Gold Project Development

GEOTHERMAL

Nevgold's recent developments in the Nutmeg Mountain gold project in Idaho mark a pivotal moment for the company and the asset itself. CEO Brandon Bonifacio expressed satisfaction with the updated mineral resource estimate (MRE), which underscores the project's status in a leading mining jurisdiction. The MRE reveals significant heap leach grades for this surface open-pit oxide gold project, validating its strong growth potential, particularly as mineralization remains open in various directions.

The Nutmeg Mountain site spans approximately 1,724 hectares and is rich in geological diversity, characterized as a low-sulfidation epithermal gold deposit. Historical drilling has revealed several promising targets, predominantly focusing on surface mineralization within patented claims. However, much remains to be explored, as the average drill hole depth is less than 75 meters, leaving potential high-grade feeder veins yet to be discovered.

The geological framework of Nutmeg Mountain consists of Miocene-age basalt and other sedimentary rocks, with a substantial portion of mineralization observed in a north-trending graben. Notably, the primary mineralization zone stretches approximately 1,200 meters north-south, with significant deposits found within the upper 75 meters—indicating opportunities for vertical resource expansion through deeper drilling.

Furthermore, Nevgold is not only focused on gold extraction; it is also committed to sustainable practices. The company is exploring alternative energy sources to reduce its carbon footprint, considering geothermal and solar power options in an area with high geothermal potential. The incorporation of these practices reflects a broader commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards.

As Nevgold prepares for further drilling and a preliminary economic assessment, the company is poised to solidify its position in the competitive landscape of domestic mineral projects. With favorable macroeconomic conditions supporting gold prices, the future looks promising for the Nutmeg Mountain project and its potential to contribute to the region's mining landscape.
