New Computer Lab Opens for Unhoused Residents in Port Arthur
A $40,000 investment from Port Arthur LNG has established a Community Computer Lab at Port Cities Rescue Mission. This facility aims to enhance digital literacy, job search capabilities, and skill development for low-income and homeless residents in the area.

Port Cities Rescue Mission Ministries has launched a Community Computer Lab to aid homeless and low-income residents in Port Arthur. Funded by a $40,000 investment from Port Arthur LNG, the lab offers digital literacy courses, financial management training, and Workforce Ready programs that include office administration and pre-construction skills.
Sempra Infrastructure, which has invested over $4.5 million in local nonprofits since 2015, aims to increase its social investment in Jefferson County to $20 million by 2030. This initiative could significantly impact workforce readiness and economic opportunities for vulnerable populations in Southeast Texas.
