The new terminal at Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport in Vermont is scheduled to open by March 31, 2026. The facility will replace four existing gates with spacious ones, allowing larger airplanes to utilize them, and will feature geothermal heating.

The $68 million project is primarily funded by federal dollars, including a $34 million earmark secured in 2022. Following the terminal's opening, demolition of the existing gates and offices will commence. A recent report indicates that the airport supports approximately 5,650 jobs, a 15% increase since 2018, with total wages rising over 90%.
