New Zealand Deploys Infantry to Korea for Joint Military Training with U.S.
New Zealand has deployed a 34-member infantry rotation to Korea for three months of joint training with U.S. and Korean forces. This deployment, marking the second of its kind, aims to enhance defense relations and share military techniques amid ongoing regional tensions.

In March, a New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) platoon arrived in Seoul for three months of training with U.S. and Korean troops, having begun exercises on March 5. This deployment follows a successful mission last year and emphasizes the historical partnership dating back to the Korean War.
Training includes complex scenarios in diverse environments, providing exposure to advanced military capabilities. The troops will engage with Korean culture while developing professional relationships.
The NZDF aims to build on lessons learned for future collaborations, reinforcing commitments to regional peace and security. The rotation continues until June 2026.
