NGCP to Complete Seven Major Transmission Projects in the Philippines to Reduce Outages
The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) is set to complete seven major transmission projects worth over P18 billion to enhance electricity supply reliability and reduce outages. Key projects include the Amlan-Dumaguete 138kV line, Tuguegarao-Lal-lo Magapit 230kV line, and Tuy 500/230kV Substation. NGCP has already upgraded 14 substations in 2025 and is seeking government support for timely project implementation.

Key projects include the Amlan-Dumaguete 138kV line at P1.9 billion, Tuguegarao-Lal-lo Magapit 230kV line at P2.4 billion, and Tuy 500/230kV Substation Stage 1, along with several others.
In 2025, NGCP upgraded 14 substations and improved voltage in various locations. Despite challenges in right-of-way and permitting, NGCP aims to complete these projects in the year and has requested support from government agencies to facilitate permit releases.
