NXP Launches i.MX 93W Processor for Enhanced Physical AI with Secure Tri-Radio Connectivity
NXP Semiconductors has introduced the i.MX 93W applications processor, the first to combine an AI NPU with secure tri-radio wireless connectivity. This integration allows the replacement of up to 60 discrete components, simplifying design and accelerating time-to-market for physical AI applications. The processor supports smaller form factors and is designed to enhance coordinated AI agent deployment across various sectors, including healthcare and smart buildings, with pre-certified reference designs to ease wireless certification.

NXP Semiconductors has launched the i.MX 93W applications processor, integrating a dedicated AI neural processing unit (NPU) with secure tri-radio connectivity. This innovation allows the consolidation of up to 60 discrete components into a single package, reducing design complexity and accelerating deployment for physical AI applications.
The i.MX 93W supports dual-core Arm Cortex A55 processing and features integrated Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth Low Energy, and 802.15.4 connectivity. Pre-certified designs minimize RF integration challenges, enabling faster market entry. The processor is tailored for applications in healthcare, smart buildings, and industrial gateways, enhancing the ability of AI agents to operate effectively in real time.
