OKKO Acquires UA Renergy Wind Farm Project in Ternopil, Ukraine
OKKO, a leading Ukrainian fuel retailer, has acquired the UA Renergy wind farm project in Ternopil, indicating its expansion into renewable energy. Wind Solar Invest, OKKO's investment arm, took over the project from previous owners. The wind farm will feature 40 turbines with a total capacity of up to 272 MW, alongside a transformer substation and communication networks. OKKO has also invested significantly in solar energy, with plans to increase solar power usage in its operations by 2026.

OKKO has acquired the UA Renergy wind farm project in Ternopil, Ukraine, through its investment arm Wind Solar Invest. The project will consist of 40 wind turbines with a total capacity of up to 272 MW, located between Pidvolochysk and Skalat.
The acquisition includes the construction of a transformer substation and 70 kilometers of communication networks. OKKO has previously invested over $3 million in solar energy, equipping 265 filling stations with rooftop solar panels by the end of 2025. Other Ukrainian fuel companies are also pursuing energy independence, with Ukrnafta implementing six major power generation projects totaling 420 MW, expected to be operational by 2026.
