One-Dyas Increases Gas Production in North Sea, Enhancing Energy Security
One-Dyas BV has initiated production from a second well, increasing annual gas output to approximately 1 billion cubic meters. This expansion supports energy security in the Netherlands and Germany amid reduced Russian gas supplies.

One-Dyas BV's latest production from a second well in the North Sea has raised output to about 1 billion cubic meters annually, up from 700 million cubic meters from one well. This site now accounts for approximately 7% of Dutch gas demand and 2.5% of Germany's consumption, with peak capacity anticipated by Q4 ahead of the winter season.
The project aligns with Dutch policies aimed at maximizing domestic natural gas use. It is part of a bilateral agreement between Germany and the Netherlands, which could potentially yield 13 billion cubic meters of gas.
However, environmental concerns regarding the Wadden Sea have emerged. The platform operates on electricity from Germany's Riffgat wind park, aiming for near-zero emissions.
