Paul Griffiths Appointed CEO Champion for Sustainable Aviation Fuel Initiative by SMI
Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, has been appointed CEO Champion of the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Pathfinder Initiative by the Sustainable Markets Initiative (SMI). This initiative aims to reduce aviation emissions by promoting SAF, which has the potential to cut flight emissions by up to 80%, despite currently accounting for less than 1% of global jet fuel supply. Griffiths' leadership is expected to enhance investment and collaboration in SAF, supporting the aviation sector's goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2050.

Under Griffiths, Dubai Airports has achieved Level 4 'Transformation' accreditation from Airports Council International, reflecting its sustainability efforts and partnerships in aviation. Griffiths' leadership is expected to accelerate SAF adoption globally as the aviation sector approaches its 2050 net zero goal.
