Peak XV Partners Reshuffles Leadership and Intensifies AI Investment Focus
Peak XV Partners, a venture capital firm in India and Southeast Asia, has promoted Abhishek Mohan to general partner and Saipriya Sarangan to chief operating officer amid recent senior departures. The firm aims to enhance its capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI) investing and plans to expand its team of AI-native investors.
Peak XV has recently closed its 80th AI investment and led an $8 million seed funding round for Agrani Labs, an AI semiconductor startup. The leadership change follows the exit of managing director Ashish Agrawal, along with investors Ishaan Mittal and Tejeshwi Sharma.
Reports suggest these exits resulted from internal disagreements. Agrawal had been with the firm for over 13 years, while Mittal and Sharma had been there for over nine and seven years, respectively. The firm manages over $10 billion across 16 funds and has invested in over 400 companies.
