The Pentagon awarded over $2.35 billion for jet fuel and naval fuel distillates to 12 suppliers, ensuring military readiness. This procurement is crucial for sustaining aviation and naval operations across multiple U.S. states.

On April 1, the Defense Logistics Agency Energy awarded contracts totaling $2.35 billion for various aviation and marine fuels. The contracts, effective for one year with a 30-day carryover extending deliveries through April 30, 2027, support military operations across states including Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana.
BP Products North America received the largest allocation of $813.4 million, followed by Alon USA LP at $355.1 million. The funding is sourced from fiscal 2026 defense working capital funds. This procurement is critical for maintaining operational readiness, as fuel is essential for all military air and naval operations. The flexible contract structure allows for adjustments based on demand fluctuations.
