Since 2016, the company has focused on ensuring the quality of critical components such as silicon carbide and gallium nitride semiconductors. As demand surged, particularly after 2018 with China's push in the new-energy vehicle market, Pentamaster established itself among the top five global manufacturers of specialized EV test equipment.

Pentamaster, based in Penang, Malaysia, manufactures specialized testing equipment for power chips critical to electric vehicles (EVs). Since its entry into the EV sector in 2016, the company has focused on testing advanced semiconductor materials like silicon carbide and gallium nitride.
The demand for Pentamaster's precision equipment rose sharply around 2018, coinciding with increased production by major automakers such as BYD. Despite describing its role in the EV supply chain as 'small', Pentamaster is now ranked among the world's top five manufacturers of test equipment for EV power chips that manage electricity flow.
