PETRONAS Expands in Brazil with 60 Petrol Stations and Launches New Energy Center in China
PETRONAS has expanded its international footprint by opening over 60 petrol stations in Brazil through a partnership with SIM Distribuidora, enabling the direct marketing of its fuel and lubricant products. Simultaneously, the company launched a New Energy Technical Service Center in Jiaxing, China, aimed at supporting automotive suppliers and promoting sustainability. Additionally, PETRONAS Chemicals Group Bhd introduced an environmentally friendly surfactant and is collaborating on a biorefinery project to produce Sustainable Aviation Fuel and Renewable Diesel by late 2028.

PETRONAS has opened over 60 petrol stations in Brazil through a partnership with local distributor SIM Distribuidora, enhancing its international presence. This expansion allows the marketing of PETRONAS Primax fuel products and PETRONAS Syntium lubricants directly to Brazilian consumers.
Concurrently, PETRONAS Lubricants International launched the New Energy Technical Service Center in Jiaxing, China, offering customized services for automotive suppliers and OEMs, aimed at promoting sustainable growth and innovation. In the specialty chemicals sector, PETRONAS Chemicals Group Bhd introduced HL701, an environmentally friendly surfactant. Additionally, PETRONAS is collaborating with Enilive and Euglena to develop a biorefinery at the Pengerang Integrated Complex, expected to produce Sustainable Aviation Fuel and Renewable Diesel starting in late 2028.
