PGE Launches Drilling for LMB-19.3 Well to Support 55 MW Geothermal Power Plant
The drilling of well LMB-19.3 is a key step in the development of the Lumut Balai Unit 3 geothermal power plant, enhancing Indonesia's energy mix. This project aligns with national energy goals and the commitment to achieve Net Zero Emissions by 2060.

PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) has commenced drilling for well LMB-19.3 in Muara Enim, South Sumatra, marking the initiation of the 55 MW Lumut Balai Unit 3 geothermal power plant project. The drilling is expected to be completed within 43 days, contributing to PGE's aim of operational readiness by the end of 2030.
This project emphasizes local workforce engagement and adherence to Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) principles. The successful execution of the project relies on strong stakeholder collaboration and a focus on sustainability, safety, and quality, enhancing Indonesia's renewable energy landscape and supporting national emission targets.
