Philippine Geothermal Production Company Launches Ambitious 1 Million Trees Initiative
The Philippine Geothermal Production Company (PGPC) has officially launched its 1 Million Trees regreening initiative with a ceremonial planting of 1,000 seedlings in Barangay Sugcad, Malinao, Albay. The event, led by PGPC President Napoleon L. Saporsantos Jr., included local officials and representatives from various organizations. This initiative aims to plant a total of one million trees in the regions surrounding PGPC’s geothermal steam fields, supporting environmental sustainability and enhancing local ecosystems.
In a significant step toward environmental sustainability, the Philippine Geothermal Production Company (PGPC) has inaugurated its ambitious 1 Million Trees regreening initiative. The ceremonial planting of 1,000 seedlings took place at PGPC's geothermal reservation in Barangay Sugcad, Malinao, Albay, marking the beginning of a broader commitment to ecological restoration.
Leading the event was PGPC President Napoleon L. Saporsantos Jr., alongside local officials including Tiwi Albay Mayor Jose Morel Climaco and Malinao Mayor Sheryl Capus.
