In a significant step toward environmental sustainability, the Philippine Geothermal Production Company (PGPC) has inaugurated its ambitious 1 Million Trees regreening initiative. The ceremonial planting of 1,000 seedlings took place at PGPC's geothermal reservation in Barangay Sugcad, Malinao, Albay, marking the beginning of a broader commitment to ecological restoration.

Leading the event was PGPC President Napoleon L. Saporsantos Jr., alongside local officials including Tiwi Albay Mayor Jose Morel Climaco and Malinao Mayor Sheryl Capus. This initiative aims to plant one million trees in the areas surrounding PGPC’s existing and prospective geothermal steam fields, thereby enhancing the local ecosystem and contributing to the fight against climate change.

By engaging local communities in this endeavor, PGPC not only invests in the environment but also fosters a sense of stewardship and responsibility among residents.
