Pingmei Shenma Group, a Chinese investor, visited Riau's Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu (DPMPTSP) to conduct preliminary research for developing a green methanol industry. This visit is part of the exploration of opportunities in green energy and sustainable industry in Riau.

DPMPTSP's acting head, Evarefita, stated the visit aims to assess the region's potential, industrial area readiness, and supporting infrastructure for green methanol development. The green methanol initiative aligns with the government’s policy for promoting clean energy and low-carbon industries.

The group also toured the Dumai Industrial Area, noted for its strategic location and logistics infrastructure, essential for potential investment. DPMPTSP hopes this engagement fosters sustainable investment partnerships and stimulates green economic growth in Riau, with the provincial government committed to facilitating investment processes.
