Piper Serica, a Mumbai-based asset management firm, has allocated Rs 210 crore to over 33 startups from its Rs 273 crore Category I Alternative Investment Fund (AIF). The remaining Rs 63 crore is anticipated to be invested within the next two to three months.
The fund is registered with SEBI and targets early-stage technology-driven companies in sectors such as deeptech, fintech, artificial intelligence, spacetech, defence, semiconductors, and biosciences. Notable portfolio companies include Alt Mobility, Sensesemi, and Pantherun. The firm emphasizes sector concentration, focusing on founders addressing significant market challenges.
