PM Modi to Inaugurate First Semiconductor Unit and Namo Bharat Corridor in Uttar Pradesh
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for north India's first semiconductor unit in Gautam Buddh Nagar on February 21. He will also inaugurate the remaining sections of the 82-km Namo Bharat rapid rail corridor and the Meerut Metro on February 22, enhancing infrastructure and connectivity in Uttar Pradesh. The state boasts significant improvements in transport, including expressways and airports, with ongoing developments in high-technology manufacturing and logistics.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for north India's first semiconductor manufacturing unit in Gautam Buddh Nagar on February 21. He will follow with the inauguration of the remaining sections of the 82-km Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor and the 23-km Meerut Metro corridor on February 22.
The Namo Bharat corridor connects Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Modipuram in Meerut. Uttar Pradesh has made significant transport improvements, with 55% of India's expressway network and 16 operational airports, including four international ones. The state is also developing the country's first MRO hub at Jewar.
