Poland's LNG Imports: Sources and Infrastructure Overview
Poland predominantly imports LNG from the United States (60% of total supplies) and Qatar, with additional shipments from Norway, Senegal, and Trinidad and Tobago. The Świnoujście terminal received 81 LNG deliveries in 2025, marking a 30% increase from the previous year, and enhancing Poland's energy security amid geopolitical tensions.

In 2025, Poland's Świnoujście terminal handled 81 LNG shipments, totaling nearly 6 million tons, a 30% year-on-year increase. The terminal's capacity rose from 6.2 to 8.3 billion cubic meters annually after its expansion in late 2024.
By early 2028, a new FSRU terminal in Gdańsk is expected to further increase Poland's import capacity to around 14 billion cubic meters per year. The U.S. remains the largest supplier, accounting for 62 shipments in 2025, while Qatar contributed 17.
Poland's LNG imports also support regional markets, including Ukraine, Japan, and Turkey, reflecting its emerging role as a gas hub. Orlen's own fleet facilitated 12 LNG deliveries, enhancing transport independence.
