Polska Żegluga Morska Receives 'Polsteam Wadag', 12th Bulk Carrier from Chinese Shipbuilder
Polska Żegluga Morska (PŻM) has received the 'Polsteam Wadag', a 37,000 DWT bulk carrier, built by Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company. This is the twelfth vessel in a series of 12 ordered by PŻM, with deliveries occurring quarterly starting January 2024. The ship will transport aluminum to Port Klang in Malaysia. 'Polsteam Wadag' is designed for operation on the Great Lakes and is 'methanol ready' for future conversion.

Polska Żegluga Morska (PŻM) has taken delivery of the 'Polsteam Wadag', a modern bulk carrier with a capacity of 37,000 DWT, constructed by Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company (DSIC). This vessel is part of a series of 12 ships ordered by PŻM, with deliveries scheduled quarterly from January 2024.
The ship will make its inaugural journey under the command of Captain Piotr Mikołajczyk, transporting aluminum to Port Klang in Malaysia. 'Polsteam Wadag' is engineered for the Great Lakes and is 'methanol ready' for conversion to methanol fuel. The Great Lakes shipping season commenced on March 22, with the first Polish vessel expected on March 29.
