President Ruto Highlights Agriculture Land Preservation and Launches Various Development Projects in Kenya
President William Ruto emphasized the need to preserve agricultural land during a recent visit to Migori and Homa Bay. He launched several development projects, including the Affordable Housing Programme aimed at reducing land fragmentation, and warned parents about school attendance compliance. The President also inaugurated Piny-Owacho Level 3 Hospital and laid foundations for multiple infrastructure projects, including a modern market and hostels for healthcare students, with significant funding allocated for housing and electricity in Migori County.

President William Ruto has urged the preservation of agricultural land in Kenya, warning that its conversion for settlement threatens food security. During a visit to Migori County, he launched the Affordable Housing Programme, which aims to reduce land fragmentation and enhance farming.
He stressed the importance of education, directing officials to ensure children attend school. Ruto inaugurated Piny-Owacho Level 3 Hospital, pledging to equip it fully, and laid the foundation for various projects, including a Sh345 million sub-county hospital and Sh200 million modern market. He announced Sh28 billion for housing and Sh2.3 billion for electricity connections in Migori and launched the Sondu-Homa Bay electricity transmission line.
