PT SMI Enhances Infrastructure Financing for Sustainable Development in Indonesia

PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) (PT SMI) is reinforcing its role as Indonesia's Development Finance Institution (DFI) by providing infrastructure financing that promotes economic and social benefits. As of Q3 2025, PT SMI reported total assets exceeding IDR 115 trillion and a strong IdAAA credit rating.

Its financing commitments exceed IDR 254 trillion, impacting Indonesia's GDP by over IDR 1,100 trillion and generating approximately 10.7 million jobs. PT SMI's public financing disbursements amount to IDR 36.16 trillion, supporting local governments through various loan schemes.

The company's top financing sectors include Roads and Toll Roads (34.42% of total), Renewable Energy (22.54%), and Transportation (12.1%). PT SMI is also focusing on renewable energy projects, exemplified by its financing of the Ijen Geothermal Power Plant, while aiming to expand green financing and improve governance and risk management.
