Pulpex and Robertson Complete Steel Frame for Sustainable Bottle Plant near Glasgow

GREEN STEEL

Pulpex and Robertson Construction Central West have marked a milestone in the construction of an 87,000 sqft facility near Glasgow Airport for producing up to 50 million fibre-based bottles annually. Robertson completed the steel frame, and the project will now progress to mechanical and electrical services and internal fit-out.

The facility will create 36 jobs and supports the shift to net-zero through low carbon manufacturing. The bottles are made from sustainably sourced wood fibre and are designed for recycling. The project utilizes green steel and is funded by the National Wealth Fund and Scottish National Investment Bank.
