Pupuk Indonesia Accelerates Business Transformation and Diversification Strategy
PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) is implementing a business transformation to improve production efficiency and diversify its portfolio in response to growing fertilizer demand. Over the next five years, the company will revitalize and build seven factories to enhance operational efficiency.
Strategic partnerships with PETRONAS Chemicals Group and Somiphos from Algeria are established to secure urea and ammonia supply. The company is also diversifying into clean ammonia and methanol to reduce reliance on traditional fertilizers.
In October 2025, it achieved a 20% reduction in the maximum retail price of subsidized fertilizers, supporting government policies. Pupuk Indonesia received multiple awards at the BUMN 2026 event, underlining its growth and leadership efficacy.
