PuriFire Energy Unveils Wastewater-to-Fuel Tech at Innovate UK Event
PuriFire Energy launched its hydrothermal gasification technology for transforming wastewater into green fuels, enhancing maritime decarbonization efforts. This innovation, showcased at Shoreham Port, represents a significant advancement in low-emission fuel production and supports the UK Government's Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition.

PuriFire Energy has introduced its hydrothermal gasification technology, converting wastewater and carbon waste into green hydrogen and bio-methanol, at Shoreham Port. This event, part of the Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition funded by the UK Government's Department for Transport, aims to advance circular fuel pathways in the maritime sector.
PuriFire collaborates with partners including HyperGen and Newcastle University to promote maritime decarbonization and integrate with existing port infrastructure. The technology's successful demonstration may catalyze broader adoption of low-carbon fuels, reducing the maritime industry's reliance on fossil fuels. Ongoing collaboration among consortium members is essential for further deployment across UK and international maritime projects.
