Qnity Electronics Expands Delaware Operations with New 385,000-Square-Foot Facility in Glasgow
Qnity Electronics, a spinoff from DuPont, is expanding its operations in Delaware with a new 385,000-square-foot facility in Glasgow. This site will focus on manufacturing chemical mechanical planarization pads essential for semiconductor chip production. The expansion is driven by growing demand in the semiconductor industry, projected to reach a trillion-dollar global market. The Glasgow facility is Qnity's fourth in Delaware, enhancing its manufacturing capabilities and supporting its headquarters near Newark.

Qnity Electronics, a spinoff from DuPont, is expanding with a new 385,000-square-foot facility in Glasgow, Delaware, to increase semiconductor material manufacturing. The facility will produce chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) pads, crucial for polishing semiconductor chips.
This expansion aligns with the semiconductor industry's rapid growth, projected to become a trillion-dollar market. Qnity, which separated from DuPont on November 1, 2025, has three other facilities in Delaware and intends to scale up production as demand rises. The Glasgow location was selected for its proximity to Qnity's main campus, which employs over 650 people.
