QSM Semiconductores Launches Manufacturing Plant in Querétaro, Mexico, to Boost Semiconductor Production
QSM Semiconductores has opened its first manufacturing plant in Querétaro, Mexico, with an investment of MX$777 million (approx. US$45 million) and the creation of 210 jobs. The facility, located in the Technological Innovation Industrial Park, focuses on MEMS technology for semiconductor manufacturing and aims to strengthen Mexico's position in the global semiconductor value chain. The plant will produce 450-nanometer legacy node chips, with 90% of production serving the domestic market. QSM plans to establish two additional plants by 2035.

Located in El Marqués, the facility specializes in Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology for semiconductor manufacturing, aiming to enhance Mexico's involvement in the global semiconductor supply chain.
The plant will produce legacy node chips, with 90% of output serving the domestic market. QSM plans to establish two more plants by 2035, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with the federal government, academia, and industry stakeholders.
