Quy Nhơn Semiconductor Launches Fabless IC Design to Boost Vietnam's Semiconductor Industry
Quy Nhơn Semiconductor (QNSC) commenced operations in March 2026, focusing on fabless IC design to support Vietnam's semiconductor sector. The company aims to establish at least 100 design firms and train over 50,000 engineers by 2030, promoting self-sufficiency and international service capabilities in chip technology.

Quy Nhơn Semiconductor (QNSC), established in March 2026 in Gia Lai, is a fabless IC design company aligned with Vietnam's semiconductor development strategy. The firm targets dual capabilities: providing IC design services to international fabless clients and developing its own chip products, including microcontrollers and IoT chips.
A key project, OpenCIM MicroSoC, focuses on creating a RISC-V based AI accelerator chip. QNSC, supported by ALP, aims to enhance local manufacturing while training skilled engineers. The initiative aligns with Vietnam's strategic objectives outlined in Resolution 57, fostering a competitive domestic semiconductor ecosystem.
