Redwing Mine Nears Restart as Dewatering Efforts Progress
Redwing Mine's dewatering operations have successfully removed over 544,000 cubic meters of water since January 29, 2026, facilitating a formal restart. This initiative is part of a broader $300-$400 million capital program by Namib Minerals to restore and expand gold production in Zimbabwe.

Dewatering at Redwing Mine has reached over 544,570 cubic meters since operations began on January 29, 2026, with water levels reduced by approximately 21.9 meters. Current pumping capacity is about 640 cubic meters per hour, allowing access to deeper mining horizons.
The site, located in Manicaland Province, holds an estimated 1.18 million ounces of gold resources and has previously produced around 650,000 ounces. Namib Minerals aims to rehabilitate infrastructure and shift towards large-scale operations, which may enhance Zimbabwe's gold production and export earnings. The company is also investing $300-$400 million across its Zimbabwean assets to support these efforts.
