Renishaw Ibérica SAU reports progress in additive manufacturing (AM) technology through collaboration with ITP Aero. The development focuses on nickel-based and lightweight alloys, producing components like the Tail Bearing Housing for the Rolls-Royce UltraFan engine, set for service by the decade's end, designed for sustainable aviation fuels and improved fuel efficiency. The partnership has already produced certified aerospace components, including TP400 engine vanes.
