Rheinmetall Secures New Contracts for Cooling Pumps from Major Automaker
Rheinmetall has received new contracts worth mid-double-digit million EUR for electric cooling pumps from a major international automotive manufacturer. The production for these projects is set to begin in 2024 and will extend until December 2031, reflecting the company's aim to capture market share under the upcoming Euro 7 emission standards.

Rheinmetall has secured a significant contract for nearly two million electric cooling pumps (WUP3) from a prominent global automotive manufacturer, with a total value in the mid-double-digit million EUR range. The production is scheduled to commence in 2024 and will continue until December 2031.
Additionally, the company has been awarded another contract for high-voltage cooling pumps (CWA2000), also valued in the mid-double-digit million EUR range, with production starting in 2025 and deliveries spanning six years until 2030. This contract enhances Rheinmetall's position in the electric vehicle sector, particularly with the anticipated Euro 7 emission regulations. The expansion into the electric truck segment indicates a strategic growth in sustainable BEV technology, positioning the company for future contracts in this area.
