RVNL Secures ₹270.22 Crore EPC Contract from Central Railway for Daund-Solapur Traction Project
Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received a Letter of Acceptance from Central Railway for a ₹270.22 crore contract. This project, focused on enhancing freight capacity on the Daund-Solapur section, involves the design, supply, and commissioning of a 220/132/55 KV traction substation and related infrastructure. The contract is to be executed within 24 months under EPC mode, with no related party transactions involved.

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received a Letter of Acceptance from Central Railway for a contract valued at ₹270.22 crore, aimed at enhancing freight capacity on the Daund-Solapur section. The project includes the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 220/132/55 KV traction substation, Sectioning Posts (SPs), and Sub-Sectioning Posts (SSPs) under a 2 x 25 KV traction system.
The contract, awarded under Tender No: PUNE-TDC-2025-EPC-05, is set for completion in 24 months. It aims to meet a 3,000 metric tonne loading target, reinforcing RVNL's position in railway electrification and power infrastructure.
