Saudi Arabia has committed up to $49 million to expand Liberia's electricity transmission network along the Botota-Voinjama-Mendikorma corridor. This agreement was reached during high-level talks between the Saudi Fund for Development and the Liberia Electricity Corporation, following diplomatic efforts led by Ambassador Amara S.
Sackor. The project, estimated at $190 million, will improve transmission capacity in northern Liberia and enhance electricity access in Bong and Lofa counties. The financing is subject to technical and feasibility assessments.
