Siemens Launches Refurbished Soft-Starter and Advanced ECPDs Reducing Emissions and Enhancing Circuit Protection
Siemens Smart Infrastructure has introduced a refurbished soft-starter that reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 50%. Alongside this, Siemens launched semiconductor-based ECPDs that provide electronic circuit protection up to 1,000 times faster than traditional devices. The refurbishment process meets new device standards and is documented with Environmental Product Declarations. Siemens plans to expand ECPD offerings for high-voltage systems, enhancing operational efficiency and equipment protection.

Siemens Smart Infrastructure has launched a refurbished soft-starter that can cut CO₂ emissions by up to 50% compared to new models. The Sirius 3RW5-Z R11 soft-starter is designed with a modular structure for easy dismantling and repair, and it meets new device standards with CE certification.
Siemens also introduced semiconductor-based electronic circuit protection devices (ECPDs), which are up to 1,000 times faster than electromechanical devices, thereby reducing short-circuit energy. Siemens plans to launch three-phase and single-phase ECPDs aimed at industrial applications, which will enhance circuit protection and operational efficiency.
