Sigurd Invests NT$1.54B to Acquire Unimicron's Hukou Plant to Meet AI and ASIC Demand

Sigurd has announced an investment of NT$1.54 billion for the acquisition of a factory from Unimicron in Hukou Industrial Park, Taiwan. This facility will be Sigurd's second plant in Hukou, scheduled to begin operations in the second half of 2026, supporting increased customer demand driven by AI, ASICs, and high-performance computing.

The acquired assets include approximately 1,784.75 ping of land and 8,502.57 ping of factory space. Sigurd expects growth in semiconductor chip sales and has started procurement orders for 2026 to meet medium- to long-term client needs. In January, Sigurd reported preliminary revenue of NT$1.83 billion, marking a record high.
