Silanna Semiconductor Launches Production of FirePower Laser Firing ICs for LiDAR Applications
Silanna Semiconductor has commenced production of its FirePower laser firing system ICs, the SL2001 and SL2002, designed for LiDAR and rangefinder applications. These ICs significantly reduce power consumption, system size, BOM cost, and design complexity. The SL2001 targets automotive-grade LiDAR with 1000 W peak output, while the SL2002 is optimized for handheld systems with a 100 W pulse. Both devices enhance efficiency and integration by combining functions in a compact package.

Silanna Semiconductor has started producing its FirePower laser firing system ICs, SL2001 and SL2002, for LiDAR and rangefinder applications. These ICs lower power consumption, system size, BOM costs, and design complexity compared to existing technologies.
The SL2001 supports automotive-grade LiDAR with a 1000 W peak output and operates on a supply of 3 to 24 V, while the SL2002 is crafted for handheld devices, providing a 100 W pulse from a 2.8 to 5.5 V supply. Both ICs enhance efficiency with up to 85% charging efficiency and are housed in a 14-pin 3.5 mm package. Firepower evaluation kits and production ICs are available through DigiKey.
