Slovak Chip Faces Liquidation; T-Mobile Reports Billion Dollar Profits
Tachyum, a Slovak semiconductor company, is facing liquidation due to insolvency claims from an investor. Meanwhile, T-Mobile has sent 6.7 billion CZK in dividends to Deutsche Telekom, reflecting its strong financial performance in the region.

Tachyum's Prodigy chip is experiencing significant delays and has not reached the tape-out stage, raising concerns over its viability. The company is reportedly insolvent, leading one investor to propose liquidation, which Tachyum contests and plans to address legally.
In contrast, T-Mobile has successfully transferred 6.7 billion CZK to Deutsche Telekom, alongside substantial investments in network infrastructure, solidifying its position as a key taxpayer in the Czech Republic. Additionally, semiconductor advancements continue with the development of AI-specific instruction sets by Intel and AMD, enhancing computational efficiency. The ongoing semiconductor crisis has led to increased prices for older technologies, exacerbating supply issues in the industry.
