SMIC Reports 12.8% Revenue Growth in Q4 2025 Despite US Sanctions
Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp. (SMIC) reported a 12.8% year-over-year revenue increase to nearly $2.489 billion in Q4 2025. Sequentially, revenue grew by 4.5%. The gross margin was 19.2%, while net income rose by 60.7% to $172.851 million. SMIC's total revenue for 2025 reached approximately $9.327 billion, marking a 16.2% increase from last year.

In Q4 2025, Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp. (SMIC) achieved a revenue of nearly $2.489 billion, representing a 12.8% year-over-year increase. This growth accelerated from the previous quarter's 9.7% increase.
Gross margin decreased to 19.2%, while operating income rose to $298.620 million, up 39.2% year-over-year. Net income reached $172.851 million, a 60.7% increase. For the full year 2025, SMIC's revenue totaled approximately $9.327 billion, up 16.2%.
The company reported a sequential growth in 8-inch wafer equivalents of 0.6%, with a utilization rate of 95.7%. Most revenue (87.6%) came from mainland China and Hong Kong.
